Cosmetic Dentistry Treatments Available at Quail Creek Dental to Perfect your Smile
We offer a wide array of treatment options to help you retain and restore that bright white smile you desire. Our professional teeth whitening will restore that pearly gleam that often fades over time due to day-to-day habits like smoking or drinking coffee. If you are experiencing tooth decay that requires sealants or fillings, we use tooth-colored composites to ensure that these remain nearly invisible and don’t detract from your healthy smile. In more severe cases of tooth discoloration or decay, Dr. Stunkel can use porcelain veneers or crowns to bring back the original color of your teeth. Dr. Stunkel and staff at Quail Creek Dental have established themselves as the leader in Invisalign treatment across southwest Missouri. This exciting new technology is a state-of-the-art alternative to traditional metal braces and retainer therapy for correcting tooth alignment issues. We may also utilize porcelain veneers, dental bridges, or cosmetic dentures to correct your smile if you are missing teeth or in more severe cases of teeth alignment issues. However involved your cosmetic dentistry needs, we are here to ensure that you can confidently smile at all of life’s joys.
Our Springfield Invisalign process consists of two impressions: one for upper teeth and one for lower teeth. Profile pictures and pictures of your teeth taken at different angles are taken in order to assist both the Dr. and the Invisalign lab during the fabrication of trays and to compare before and after Invisalign. The impressions are sent off to the lab, where they are used to make sets of Invisalign trays or aligners. Along with the number of aligners, the length of time patients are in Invisalign treatment closely correlates to the severity of the case.
Crowns are done for several reasons. The biggest reason is a fractured or decayed tooth. If there is not enough tooth structure left to contain a white or tooth colored filling, the tooth is prepared for placement of a crown. In some cases other similar procedures such as onlays may be more appropriate as they help conserve more tooth structure.
A dental bridge is a great solution for missing teeth.
White or tooth colored fillings are used to replace ares of teeth with cavities. This is the preferred method of treating decay as it is the most conservative. Given enough time, decay will grow and spread to the inner part of the tooth which consists of dentin and the pulp. If large amounts of decay are present in the dentin and are close or into the pulp, a root canal will become necessary. Frequent check-ups to Springfield dentist Dr. Matt Stunkel can help detect and prevent decay from spreading.
Cosmetic dentures can be made for partial or missing all teeth.
